Kilian Hennessy grew up surrounded by his family's cognac barrels. Those are his first fragrances: oak wood soaked in noble spirits, the depth of years of ageing. He studied at CELSA in Paris, wrote his dissertation on the semantics of scent and chose perfumery over cognac. In 2016, Kilian Paris was acquired by Estée Lauder Companies, but Kilian Hennessy retained his creative leadership. The brand has grown globally since, but the philosophy remained unchanged: luxury should last a lifetime, not be disposable. Every Kilian bottle is refillable.
