Pretty in purple makeup look

Are there any festivals on the agenda this summer? Or do you prefer to skim the beach bars by the sea? This summer makeup look, created by Katrien from Parfuma Antwerp, will make you shine wherever you are.

Step 1: Nude & blush

Leave the heavy, full-coverage foundation behind this summer. The last thing you want is for your foundation to melt off your face at the festival grounds. Use a light-coverage foundation like the Shiseido Synchro Skin Foundation SPF30 or a tinted moisturizer for a natural glow.

Bring on the blush: Blush adds a healthy glow to any look. We love the jane iredale Glow Time Blush Stick in the color 'Enchanted' because it adds some extra shimmer to your face.

Step 2: Pastel dreams

Steal the show this summer with a colorful eye look, and what's better than a cute pastel shade on your eyelids? The Caviar Stick by Laura Mercier in the color 'Orchid' is long-wearing, easy to apply, and blend.

Step 3: Line it up

Shiny purple eyeshadow calls for a purple eyeliner, of course. Apply it as close to your lash line as possible and blend the eyeliner with a fine brush. This creates a subtle smokey effect. We used the Ink Liner "Violet" by Shiseido!

TIP by Katrien: "Don't have eyeliner or have trouble applying it? You can get the same result as easily with a dark eyeshadow color and the right eyeliner brush."

EMMA'S SUMMER MAKEUP MUSTHAVES

THIS WILL KEEP YOUR MAKEUP FRESH LONGER

Whether you have a dry or oily skin, spend the whole day in the sun or prefer to stay indoors, your make-up can smudge or fade throughout the day. Parfuma to the rescue! Below you'll find our tips to ensure your makeup stays fresh-looking this summer.

TIPS THAT WILL MAKE YOUR MAKEUP LAST LONGER:

  • Makeup on top of dead skin cells rarely looks flattering. Remove them with an exfoliating toner or exfoliate your face twice a week.
  • Use a lightly hydrating cream.
  • Prep your skin with a primer.
  • Opt for a light foundation coverage, like a tinted moisturizer. The SPF is a nice bonus.
  • Set your make-up with a mattifying powder.
  • Hydration also comes from within. So make sure to drink plenty of water. A nice addition? Try the Moisture Lock nutritional supplement from Advanced Nutrition Programme.
