May plastic-free: tips for a plastic-free bathroom

May plastic-free, do your part to make the world a better place. Above all, we want you to take the first steps towards a plastic-free life. This means to be more conscious about the use of plastic. Use reusable bags, refillable containers and choose plastic-free alternatives. Let's start in our bathroom! If you’re looking to reduce your plastic use, we would like to give you some tips for a (nearly) plastic free bathroom. Do what you can because even the smallest effort makes a difference!

Solid soap & shampoo bars = no plastic packaging

Let's face it, shampoo and soap is something we all use. So think of how big of an impact it would make if we switched to using Soap & Shampoo Bars! The Beauty Disrupted bars are compact, contain natural ingredients and they are the perfect travel companion. Besides soap and shampoo you also have conditioner and shaving bars! With these products you already make your shower plastic-free!

GLAss containers as ...

Try choosing glass packaging for your favorite beauty products! We can recycle glass endlessly which makes it a perfect alternative to plastic. Glass containers are often very pretty too, so we can also just give them a second life! Use your empty jars to store things or you can easily repurpose them as decorations.

TIP!

Not sure how to get started? How about using a burned candle as a jar for your makeup brushes, as a vase or as a pen holder?

RE-USE TO REDUCE

We all have jars, soap dispensers, fragrance stick holders and so many other items that we can re-use. Refills are the solution for unnecessarily throwing things away. They are not only convenient for you, but also for the environment! These refills help you throw away less and we don't need new jars and bottles every time. Plus, they are often cheaper, which is just an extra reason to buy!

TIP!
You can always opt for products with sustainable packaging too! Some beauty brands including Clinique often use sustainable packaging. For example, all of Clinique's products on which you'll find this logo are made of 96% plastic of plant origin.

naturally from nature

By buying products that are not made of plastic, you are putting less of a burden on the environment. Natural products are "produced" by nature. We are talking about wooden brushes, make-up brushes and gua sha facial care tools.

reusable cleaning pads

Can you name something that’s even better than products you don’t have to throw away after use? We can’t either. That’s why we love reusable cleansing pads so much. The only thing you have to do after using them is wash them. They last way longer than disposable wipes and therefore are a more sustainable option.
